The other day, reading yet another op-ed piece about the pervasiveness of attack ads (and the fact that they work), I found myself wondering whether, as a motivational aid, I should live my life as if someone were watching me at every moment looking for attack-ad ammo. “Michael Ezra *said* he’d use the treadmill twice a day. He now uses it all day…as a towel-rack! Can we really trust *anything* he says?”
Then I decided living that way would be the quickest route to a two-week hospital stay and a thorazine prescription.
