This reminds me of the play “God sees Dog: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead.” It’s about all the peanuts characters as teenagers. It starts off with the main character, “CB” talking about his dog.
His dog always played with this little bird right outside his dog house, but one day CB came home to see his Beagle cowering in the corner of the dog house, the bird torn apart and all over the yard. He held out his hand, knowing full well that he shouldn’t and his dog reach out and snapped at him, foam dripping from his mouth. He snatched his hand back in time. He learned from the vet that sometimes rabies shots don’t always take.
That’s right, it opens with Charlie Brown talking about having to put Snoopy to sleep. There’s a suicide in the play too. It’s really fracked up.

Where do I find the feed for Frank ‘N Cents?
The rage, the rage of the ball-less Snoopy!
Why do you keep mutilating Sparky’s characters?

Poor Snoopy. But it’s probably for the best …
Snoopy keeps fantasizing that he is Jake Barnes on the way to a bullfight.
I wonder if dogs, like roosters, are tastier when neutered?
*runs and hides*
I just ordered a copy of that play, Sumit. God, what does that say about me?
