Wow … this is depressingly accurate.
still beats reality tv
Sounds like you’ve got the winning formula.
Now go to Hollywood and make money, dammit!
Yeah, I can see this starring a lesser Estevez.
Oh, good. Jim Belushi has found work.
“Why must you be true to your nature?” would be a great catch phrase for any bleak, existentialist sitcom.
It writes itself!
Sad to say – I think I watched this the other night!
This might be the best thing ever.
The first two panels made me think you were pitching something based on Liz and Anthony from For Better Or For Worse.
I think this is how they came up with Everybody Loves Raymond
the hilarious (yet sad) thing will be when some tv exec sees this comic and goes “OH MY GOD! It’s BRILLIANT! NEXT FALL ON NBC!”
this is probably why i don’t watch much television anymore.
Now you need the bitter, entitled young man who is convinced he deserves high marks, a prestigious degree, a fulfilling and well-paying job, gorgeous and submissive women, wealth, power, and fame simply because he wants them and blames everyone but himself when they don’t.
Or is that too close to real life?
This is why (insert your preferred deity here) invented The Office, 30 Rock, PBS, TVO (TV Ontario) and…music and books!
You forgot to include a panel about the young, impossibly-thin woman married to the older, paunchy man. Gee, I wonder if these sitcoms are created/green-lighted by middle-aged men with trophy wives?
But I’m not bitter.
When did Wacky/Slutty Neighbor get cut?
Ces: any thoughts about Obama’s flubs on the Tonight Show & 60 Minutes?
I can see the casting for this one already. It’ll star Seth Rogen and Any Woman Who Still Looks Young Enough.
Didn’t Lynn Johnston already create this thirty years ago?
