The original special was actually produced by Rankin-Bass.
So yeah, it was never Hanna-Barbera.
Thumpetty thump thump thumpety thump thump. Look at Frosty go. Thumpetty thump thump thumpety thump thump boom boom bang bang crash crunch thud thud splat.
Ah, now THAT’s Hanna-Barbera animation: sound effects, with all the action off-screen.
Mr. Barbera died a few years ago.
The funeral procession passed the same rocks and trees, over and over and over.
One from the vaults: I wrote this… jeez, 25 years ago? Anyway, I tend to reprint it around the holidays, changing a word or two every few years. It’s a bit late, admittedly, but it’s a holiday favorite!
