There’s no such thing as double-sided masking tape. There are different kinds of double-sided tape, but masking tape is not among that variety, and there’s a logical reason for it. If you’re masking something, you don’t want anything sticking to the outside. Masking tape is not meant to bond 2 surfaces together. It’s meant to mask, hence the word “masking”. Double-sided masking tape would be like installing headlights that not only shine outward onto the road, but also shine directly into the windshield.
