Man, Superman is a hypocrite. Not like he’s from Earth, either.

At least once in the ’50s, the fact that Superman is an alien, and therefore not a natural-born US citizen, came up as a plot point so that readers wouldn’t ask why Superman didn’t run for President. I found that charmingly nerdy, as plot points go.

Me, I just like thinking about the Flash buzz-sawing through hunks of meat. BZZZZowww. “You gonna eat that?” BZZZZZZZmmmm. ZZZZZ ZZZZZZZzzooon. “Hey, this is fantastic, better than Mrs.” ZZZZZZMMMmm “Schwartz’s down the street when I was a kid. Oo! Are those turduckens?” ZZZZnnMMmn! ZZZZnn! ZZZZZmmm! “Man, I’m just inhaling these things!”

But Superman could have gone back in time to 1776 and thus avoided the natural born citizen clause by becoming the first President of the 13 Colonies!

And the Martian Manhunter ate all the Oreos. What a lame party.

“the ultimate sacrifice” indeed. The only fair thing is to have the big Z turn into one of the briskets, so they can go together.

Uh, sorry, I meant the *other* wonder twin, the big J.

I’ll be beating myself with an alien monkey in pennance; fear not.
