”The Hunger Games” trilogy is just the tip of the iceberg for young adult fiction series. But for every book franchise that scores millions of readers and dollars, there are countless attempts that have yet to be taken off the shelf or uploaded on Kindle.

My Brother Appears in “Sally Forth”

Posted in Uncategorized by cesco7 on April 3, 2012

Some people may be reading today’s Sally Forth strip and wondering, “Since when did Alice have kids?” Well, it’s been mentioned a few times that Alice is a divorced mom of two kids (though initially I wrote of two boys, which changes with tomorrow’s strip). These readers may also be looking at the above strip and wondering, “Since when did Alice adopt or give birth to a thin Dondi?”

In truth, that’s my actually younger brother Marcello, seen here with me in one of those photos that either screams “1970’s” or “Italian war orphans.”

Marcello (who also has a non-lucrative webcomic career as the President of Medium Large Productions) is now playing Alice’s hyperactive five-year-old son. When I mentioned I wanted to feature him the strip, my brother only had one demand–“Make me as insane as possible.”

Done and done, Cello.

On a Very Special Episode of Sally Forth…

Posted in Uncategorized by cesco7 on April 1, 2012

By the way, the dialogue balloon somehow got mixed up in the third panel of today’s Sally Forth strip. Sally is supposed to be saying “It’s April 1st. April Fools’ Day.” Hence, why Ted sounds even nuttier than usual.
