Meet “Fluffy,” the Real Author of My Book

Posted in Uncategorized by cesco7 on June 18, 2012

Actually, “Fluffy” is a feral cat my dad named, feeds four times a day, makes sure gets his shot, got fixed (so when young wouldn’t be attacked by other male cats looking to claim dominance), and built a Snoopy-style house for near the side door.

While growing up on Long Island my family regularly fed and cared for the local cats, at one point taking care of twelve at once (a number I’m sure was not discussed at all by our neighbors) and went by such names as “Fluffy,” “Other Fluffy,” “Didn’t We Already Name a Cat Fluffy?” “Charlie,” (in fact two named “Charlie,” both female), “Snowball” (but no “Napolean”), “Rainbow” (two different-colored eyes that I tried to name “Bowie”), “Calico” (take a guess) and “Hobbes” (because that had to happen eventually).

Many lived well into their teens and some would even sit on my lap as I read out on the patio, sadly ensuring that the phrases “vision of rugged masculinity” and “Ces” would not often go hand-in-hand.

And speaking of feral cats, please note this official county sign at Sunken Meadow Beach, proving that when it comes to government budget cuts the copy editors are always the first to go.

Posted in Uncategorized by cesco7 on June 13, 2012

Although Abraham Lincoln currently ranks as the most famous presidential vampire hunter, the United States has a long yet unknown history of Commander-in-Chiefs who split their time between running the country and ramming a wooden stake through a heart.

Learn all about the ongoing dark chapter in American history that even Howard Zinn overlooked at Smosh.
