    The candy cigarettes were actually a thing. Chocolate, as I recall.

    Candy cigarettes were useful for Drama Club productions when you needed a prop cigarette that was somewhere between ‘rolled-up piece of paper that is blatant even from the audience’ and ‘actual cigarette that’d get gross after holding it during every rehearsal’.

    All of the candy cigarettes I ever saw were made of a chalky white candy.

    There are also bubblegum cigars. They still sell chocolate cigars for new fathers to give out when the baby is born.
