Seriously, this was a well done great public service. It is personally deeply appreciated.

I used to do this to the people who called from “Microsoft” to tell me there was a virus on my computer. Kinda fun seeing how long it takes them to hang up on you, and every second they were on the phone with me, they weren’t on the phone with someone who might’ve fallen for the scam, so… win-win?

Very nice. My Mom gets calls saying she is overdue on her Google fee and needs to pay up or she can’t use it. Fortunately my mom knows better, but I think that is exceptionally cruel.

I dislike speaking on the phone, so I usually tell those ones “I don’t have a computer”. Saves time, is a blatant enough lie that they realize they should try someone else.

I think it is really great that you did this series. Ted Forth Tackles the Big Issues! (Although… there was that story a couple of years ago that someone was screwing with some IRS scammers and the scammers got so pissed off that they found the guy’s(?) address and sent people over to kill him. They didn’t, though.)

“This was great! Seriously though, do you have somewhere you can hide?” 🙂

I’m not worried for you — I’m worried for the Forth family. This may be an excellent time to invoke the Chadwell Option….
